The World Bank Institute’s three-year Carbon Finance Capacity Building (CFCB) program was established in February 2009 in Basel, Switzerland to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in megacities of the South and to provide the know-how and tools that help cities develop sustainably, using carbon finance.
